CT Council Meets

The Connecticut State Council met in Cromwell, Connecticut January 23-25, 2004 with 55 delegates in attendance as was General Vice Presidents Lynn D. Tucker, Jr. and Robert Thayer. Also present were several guest speakers including 1st Congressional District U.S. Representative John Larson, Connecticut AFL-CIO President John Olson, Secretary-Treasurer Lori Pelletier, Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz, State Attorney General Richard Blumenthal and State Comptroller Nancy Wyman.

The Council held two workshops Legislative/Political, presented by Grand Lodge Representative James D. Smith and Health Care Crises, presented by Grand Lodge Representative Bill Rudis and Legislative Committee Chair Bill Shortell.

We are proud to report the Connecticut delegation raised $2,400.00 for MNPL at this conference. With the diligent work of the Connecticut State Council, we will continue to support candidates who fight for working families.
